PART ONE: THE INNER YOU

In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned with your individual traits.

The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon), learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and sociability (Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical energy (Mars).

The second section describes how well you deal internally with the external situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations (Saturn), how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative ideas and methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status quo (Uranus), how you are associated with or affected by public ideals, morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with or affected by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government and industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and distribution of natural resources (Pluto).

SUN

The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about. It represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take, and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is your personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect and authority, to impress and influence others.

SUN in LEO

As the fifth sign of the zodiac, Leo represents the fifth stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. Here, the dominant need is to develop man's creative urge. Creativity is not entirely an emotional urge in Leo, it is also an expression of ego. The mind and heart are united in Leo to represent man's ultimate individuality. When their egos are turned inward, Leos become self-centered and tyrannical. Seeking to gain attention (consciously or subconsciously), they love to play the hero. At times this gesture is indeed noble, but feeling they already know what is best, they often neglect to learn what assistance is actually wanted and their misguided generosity becomes worthless to those they sought to help. Imaginative Leos envision grandiose schemes and many of them possess the talent to turn their ideas into reality.

Leos are stubborn and impervious to changes not of their own making. They are however, able to accomplish things in life because of their tenacity in sticking with projects when others lose patience and stamina. Unfortunately, stubbornness in the Leo personality is dictated more often than not by their ego. Attempts to back them into a corner, or demanding that they change their thinking or behavior will quickly reveal the extent of their intractable nature. Even when confronted with irrefutable evidence of the foolhardiness of their ways, Leos can stubbornly cling to bad relationships and wrong ideas because their egos simply will not allow them to admit being wrong. However, their tenacity becomes a valuable asset when it is demonstrated as loyalty to friends, or as patience and determination to succeed in completing a worthy project. The astrological symbol for Leo is the Lion. As king of the jungle, this animal represents the regal disposition of the Leo personality. Their dignity cannot be assailed. If insulted or abused, they rarely forget the slight unless their detractors sincerely and humbly request forgiveness. Leos generally have opinions about everything and not a bit of reluctance in expressing them. They must have the last word and, as far as most of them are concerned, it is the only one that counts.

Leos react physically to everything they experience. Before they assess the practicality or worth of what they are doing, before they sort out their true emotions, and before they take time to reason things out intellectually, their tendency is to shoot first and ask questions later. Leos tackle projects others would not attempt, though they cannot help calling as much attention as possible to their efforts. Their penchant for exaggeration and overreaction works well in the theater, advertising schemes, and other situations where a "bigger than life" approach is desirable. Leos are often guilty however, of habitually turning a mundane problem or fairly routine situation into an overblown crisis, much to the confusion and annoyance of those around them.

The sun, celestial guardian of the human ego, rules Leo. Its influence gives Leos a true love of life and its pleasures. Genial hosts and natural entertainers, they get pleasure out of helping others enjoy life as much as they do. Enthusiasm and generosity are integral parts of their gregarious natures. Their sunny dispositions inspire the affection of many friends and admirers, as well as engender feelings of envy in those with less popular personalities. Though usually full of ambition and enthusiasm, they also have a lazy streak and, if given the opportunity, will take the easy way out of things, especially when the situation offers little fun or glory. They are so attracted to energy and excitement it can be difficult for them to accept that life also consists of boring routines and mundane details that need constant attention.

It is easy for pleasure-loving Leos to become addicted to rich food, and as they get older they find themselves putting on weight. Their gregarious nature makes it hard to enjoy or stick to boring or solitary physical fitness routines, but they may not mind dressing up in flashy gym outfits and joining an exercise class. Dancing, swimming, and tennis are favorite activities, though they are eager participants in sports of all kinds. When engaged in team sports, however, they can make too many grandstand plays, forgetting that they are just part of a team. Arts and crafts, theater groups, philanthropic societies, and religious organizations attract their interest and participation.

Leo colors are gold, royal blue, purple, and red. Vulnerable parts of the body are the back and the heart. Overexertion, heart murmur, and various types of back pains are the usual Leo complaints. Leo rules gold, and the birthstone for this sign is the sardonyx. An appropriate representative of Leo's versatile, creative personality, the intriguing sardonyx is a variety of agate that exists in many colors and can be cut in many ways. One of the special ways it is used is in making cameos. Flowers for Leo include the showy dahlia, yellow lily, poppy (red), marigold, sunflower, and heliotrope.

MOON

The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences. It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional, and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment. It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important females in your life.

MOON in VIRGO

Except in the pursuit of pleasure (to which many of them can be quite dedicated) those born with the moon in an Earth sign are not emotionally spontaneous. They don't nonchalantly accept the responsibility of long-term relationships, or analyze emotional commitments merely as a mental exercise. They may hesitate to move at all unless they feel they are on solid ground, or there is some personal advantage to be gained by their emotional involvement. As lunar Earth sign personalities, those with moon in Virgo are guarded about their feelings. They consciously or subconsciously put up invisible barriers. However, in many cases they secretly hope others will view these barriers as a challenge in getting to know them. Their passion can sometimes be confused with compassion. An over-critical or too analytical approach to emotional situations makes it difficult for them, as well as others involved, to freely or spontaneously express feelings. Serious-minded, with common sense about most things, they can be surprisingly unrealistic at times. Their creativity always has some practical element. As writers or artists, for example, they usually stick to subjects or situations they know best.

Virgo moon personalities are emotionally adaptable. They instinctively seem to know what it takes to make others feel better. They make many friends because of their sympathetic nature, but it also means they are vulnerable to being exploited. Though they are not all scholars, they are likely to be fond of books and writing. Intellectual curiosity gives them a penchant for gathering information that can develop into serious research endeavors, or turn out to be just a fondness for gossip. At times they can be overly fastidious, usually with regard to eating habits. Concern with health makes many of them outstanding health care professionals. Their own preoccupation with health can become exaggerated to the point of hypochondria, or they can be guilty of using maladies to attract sympathy. They are mentally and emotionally stimulated by travel, communication, and information.

Women with Virgo moon may encounter sorrow through marriage. They can be dreadful nags themselves or become the victims of a nagging spouse. Men with Virgo moon tend to idealize their wives but may not be very passionate toward them. Their quiet emotional nature tends toward domesticity, though they may also have a desire for intrigue and flamboyancy.

MERCURY

Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information. It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical skills. Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get where you're going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all possible haste or amble along taking a few detours here and there?

MERCURY in VIRGO

Individuals with Mercury in Virgo have sharp analytical abilities. As a rule, they learn quickly and most of them enjoy their education. They have organizational ability, but other factors in their natal charts must support a willingness to implement this skill. They are prone to changing their minds, often as a result of being unduly influenced by the persuasive power of others. They need to develop confidence in themselves. Sometimes they can be patient and accommodating in teaching or sharing information and ideas. At other times, they are too impatient and overly critical. Their need for perfection is always in conflict with the less-than-perfect world. In the matter of learning and transportation, they move at a variable but purposeful pace. Curiosity leads them down many paths, mentally as well as physically.

VENUS

Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance, marriage and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit of pleasure.

VENUS in LEO

The enthusiastic people-oriented qualities associated with Leo make it the most gregarious sign position for Venus. Individuals with Venus in Leo are friendly, outgoing, and magnanimous. They place great value on being sincere and loyal. It must not be forgotten however, that there is sure to be a measure of ego involvement in the establishment of their relationships. They tend to recognize a certain pecking order in social situations, and for the good of everyone around them, they had better not be placed at the bottom. Whatever the social situation happens to be, they like to play a leading role. Many of them possess special talent in art or design. There is a tendency here for exaggeration, and a certain flair for drama is likely to be exhibited in their mannerisms or some other aspect of their personality.

MARS

Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength and direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills. It describes male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations, and the physical challenges you are likely to encounter.

MARS in TAURUS

Individuals with natal Mars in Taurus are not likely to waste their time or efforts. Whatever they seek to accomplish or to acquire is consciously or subconsciously linked to satisfying a need for personal security. For most of them, it is usually in the form of money or other material assets. Even those who do not seek to amass material wealth become discouraged if their efforts and activities do not result in gaining some goal or tangible reward. Physical pleasures are often the object of their energetic pursuits. The Taurean influence gives these individuals patience and determination, and is also an indication of artistic skills. They are likely to possess great physical strength and stamina, or at least have the capacity to develop them.

JUPITER

Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels; physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation of material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism and aspirations. It represents your father and his position in society.

JUPITER in LIBRA

Individuals with Jupiter in Libra are often dependent for personal growth on the stimulation they derive from others, and the contacts they make by constant interactions with others. Working in partnership, joint ventures, and other cooperate efforts is the key to their success. Jupiter's influence in Libra indicates increased capacity to get along with, and favorably influence others. It also indicates an inspired sense of justice. The desire they have for growth is generally in an intellectual or aesthetic area. To attain what they seek, these individuals have to deal successfully with Jupiter's tendency for overabundance and Libra's need to strike a balance between excess and austerity.

SATURN

Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good fortune but it does demand that these things be given structure and meaning.

SATURN in SAGITTARIUS

Sagittarius is associated with higher education, spirituality, politics, travel and international endeavors. Individuals with natal Saturn in Sagittarius encounter limitations and responsibilities in any of these areas. There is also much to be gained, and they may end up as acknowledged experts and authorities in their particular fields of endeavor. Knowledge is not usually a luxury for them. It may be difficult to acquire purely for its own sake, and it must have structure and meaningful application. Their spirituality demands the highest standards but those who become morally righteous are apt to suffer.

URANUS

Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures. Uranus takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking about 84 years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people with Uranus in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence of this planet in a sign is generational. The personal implications of Uranus in your life are described by its house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart. It describes areas of unpredictability, and where you or your life style may be different than those around you. It relates to the unusual or unique. Friends and associations to which you belong are also indicated, as is your potential involvement with science and technology, computers, and the media.

URANUS in LEO

The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Leo are likely to be involved in the creative arts. They introduce their ideas with innovative flair and great boldness in defiance of traditional concepts. Leo is also associated with scientific research and humanitarian gestures, so these individuals may also be expected to attack old problems with new energy, ideas and methods.

NEPTUNE

Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of society. On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are glamorous and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism, and ideals. Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years, taking about 164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs. Since 164 years separate people born during its transit of one sign and those born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign is described as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's house position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion, disillusionment, and other areas of your life where things aren't always what they seem. It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and describes the potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment, and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.

NEPTUNE in SCORPIO

The latest period of Neptune in Scorpio was 1955-1970 and the influence of Neptune in Scorpio had observable impact. Sexual codes (Scorpio) prior to the 60's dissolved (a Neptunian influence). Sexually explicit material invaded the media and everyday life. Drugs and creation of a counter culture eroded the family and traditional values (Neptune). Spying and secret surveillance (Scorpio) in public and private life were evident in fact and fiction.

PLUTO

Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve years to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like atomic energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction of Pluto's energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence in any sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your personal life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope. Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also linked to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes the areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.

PLUTO in VIRGO

Pluto's last period in Virgo was 1957-1971. Virgo rules health, practical applications of science and technology, and the work force. During the recent Pluto transit in Virgo, the general state of America's health and welfare underwent unprecedented changes, computers came of age, and the once powerful unions experienced great loss of influence.

PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU

In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope. The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily basis. You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances you encounter in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality and other traits as they are outlined in Part One.

HOUSE 1

The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health and the type of illnesses you may experience.

VIRGO ASCENDANT

A Virgo Ascendant indicates the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and different people. The willingness of these individuals to adapt however, is invariably accompanied by a word or two of complaint. Nowhere is the critical facility associated with Virgo more observable than when this sign rules the Ascendant. Always seeking perfection, they find it difficult to accept situations or people as they are. Even if they criticize without totally realizing what they are doing, or without meaning to be harsh, they must learn to be more sensitive and restrict their passion for constantly finding fault. Virgo indicates that practicality and conservatism are prominent characteristics. Though they may be inhibited by flamboyant displays of affection and act excessively puritanical in public, they can nevertheless be quite sensual and sexually-oriented in private. A contradiction in their personalities is that they can be totally organized and attentive to details in some areas, while at the same time be appallingly disorganized and sloppy in other areas. Another potential trait is a proclivity for being health conscious. If their natal sun or moon is in one of the Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces) or in Capricorn (which tends toward excessive worry), their concern with health can extend to the point of hypochondria.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury, planet of communication and mental processes. If intimidating factors in their individual personalities are not present to subdue the tendency, they are likely to be extremely talkative and prone to gossip. They are endlessly curious about everything that goes on in their immediate environment, and at times, they may seem to be everywhere at once. Ideas and projects seem to take up every waking moment. Not only do they desire to collect and communicate their own ideas and information, they effortlessly attract information and news from everyone else as well. They readily absorb stores of information that they are happy to share with anyone who takes the time to listen. Many Virgo Ascendant people are super salesmen, efficient negotiators, and eager travelers. They like to keep busy and useful. Sitting around doing nothing makes them nervous and irritable. They enjoy collecting recipes, postage stamps, and medical remedies. Respiratory illnesses, nervousness, and allergies are apt to be common physical complaints.

MOON in 1st HOUSE

Moon in the first house indicates individuals with personal magnetism as well as personal ambition. In spite of this, they are emotionally vulnerable and can be highly influenced by others. Their personality and even their physical appearance are subject to constant change. They may, for example, adopt the latest fashions or mode of behavior to assure themselves of being accepted. To cover up any real or perceived weakness in themselves, they are apt to follow one of two paths. Either they work twice as hard as anyone else usually becoming very successful in the bargain, or, they avoid failure by not doing anything at all. They may be successful and competent individuals on the outside but they need continual reassurance on an emotional level. They are apt to be guided or assisted in life by women, or one female in particular. Even so, they constantly seek advice from one source or another.

MOON conjunct MERCURY

Moon conjunct Mercury indicates individuals likely to have strong urges to communicate their feelings. Unless other factors in their individual personalities imply a quieter nature, they are quite talkative and will readily relate how they feel about everything. If they are inhibited in talking about their feelings, they may turn to writing or some artistic method of emotional self expression. They are highly inquisitive and attuned to what others are thinking.

MOON trine MARS

Moon trine Mars indicates those possessed of exceptionally strong vitality. Though they may be very gifted they are also very noncompetitive, as inner satisfaction precludes the need to prove themselves or their abilities to others. Their calm, easy-going temperaments can turn into laziness, though when properly motivated they become passionately enthusiastic. They are apt to have mechanical or artistic skills.

MOON square SATURN

Outward success is nearly always possible for those with Moon square Saturn, but it isn't easy; and more often than not, they are not satisfied after it is achieved. Lack of emotional flexibility can be one of the impediments to being truly happy. They may be guilty of always trying to get around rules and regulations, though they are not above imposing them on others. There may be reticence or awkwardness when expressing their feelings. These are individuals who learn from their mistakes and possess the capability of developing organization and patience which are the keys to phenomenal success.

MOON conjunct PLUTO

Moon conjunct Pluto indicates those with definite likes and dislikes, and no trouble expressing their desires when it comes to going after what they want. They do not accept rejection easily, which in any case may not occur too often since many of them develop formidable personal magnetism that few can resist. Subconsciously or consciously they seek to control relationships, and if there are negative factors in their personalities to support it, they can become jealous and possessive. They are excellent psychologists, researchers, and investigators.

HOUSE 2

The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates the values and priorities you establish throughout life.

LIBRA on 2nd HOUSE

Libra ruling the second house indicates individuals who are especially fond of personal pleasures and the beautiful things that wealth can supply. To attain these things they are apt to make full use of their personal charm and physical attractiveness. To them it seems a fair trade. It is possible that their income is derived from modeling, hairdressing and related services, cosmetics manufacture and sales, fashion and beauty consulting. They may be involved in such other Libra-ruled areas as law, art, music, jewelry or the world of fashion and design. The negative potential of Libra's influence can mean those who are not able enjoy anything or anyone. Though the second house Libra influence implies they value wealth and beauty, they also put great value on relationships. Their sense of well-being and security is enhanced when they are surrounded with beautiful things, an attractive, peaceful environment, and people they like. Unless there are negative elements in their personalities, they are not greedy, and those fortunate enough to have wealth, balance their abundant assets by philanthropic donations.

JUPITER in 2nd HOUSE

Jupiter in the second house indicates those who like to succeed on their own. Whether or not they actually succeed is not indicated solely by Jupiter's position in the second house. These individuals value independence, especially in monetary matters, and, if not discouraged by negative factors in their personality or background, they thrive on the challenge of making their own money. Negative factors can include those who marry for money, and individuals who either acquire money and property through dishonest means, or become victims of those who do. The influence of Jupiter in the second house suggests opportunity to travel or trade in foreign goods and services as a means of livelihood. Other possible sources of income include consulting, publishing, theater, sports, education, or religion. Jupiter in the second house does not always indicate wealth or luck in monetary matters, but it invariably means generosity and the potential for spending money lavishly and wasting other material and non-material resources. They value knowledge even though they may not be scholars. Jupiter also implies they may receive financial help in attaining education and/or may be the ones to aid others in this respect.

JUPITER conjunct NEPTUNE

Jupiter conjunct Neptune implies a generational receptiveness to spirituality in the religious sense, spiritualism in the occult sense. Those born in this generation reject realism substituting it with idealism, abstraction, and impressionism, especially in art and literature. They may or may not get caught up in their private lives in this generational flow of sentiments, but they are bound to have to deal with it on some level.

HOUSE 3

The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation, self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also describes the job or health of your father.

LIBRA on 3rd HOUSE

Libra ruling the third house suggests those who are very sociable within their immediate environment. They will attempt to establish good relations with neighbors and actively participate in community projects, especially if they are invited to do so. They have close, or at least very cordial relationships with siblings and there is likely to be much visiting back and forth with each other. The negative potential can mean the opposite, and these individuals intentionally or unintentionally, get involved in neighborhood disagreements or may be antagonistic or aloof from neighbors as well as siblings. It may indicate a lack of siblings or that they will live in remote areas where there are no immediate neighbors. The influence of Libra on the third house suggests skills in the art of diplomacy and strategic planning. Their primary schooling is usually the place where they easily make friends, one of whom they may marry or with whom they might have a business partnership. Another possibility is that their marriage or business partners are found among those who live in the same neighborhood.

NEPTUNE in 3rd HOUSE

Neptune in the third house indicates those who are highly intelligent. They are, however, also apt to be mentally lazy, unwilling to explore areas of thought and ideas that appear to be too much work. They are not very anxious to be around strangers and people with whom they are not well acquainted. They enjoy watching others while remaining hidden or unobserved themselves. Neptune's third house influence includes potential for the father's occupation to be in the navy, maritime industry, chemistry, photography, footwear, religion, medicine, psychology, or areas that involve those who are disabled, institutionalized, or minorities. The father may suffer from hypochondria or hard-to-diagnose illnesses. Neptune in the third house includes individuals who form particularly sensitive, perhaps clairvoyant, relationships with their siblings, and those who experience untimely loss of siblings. The neighbors or siblings of these individuals may be involved with drugs or other illegal activities. Other potentials of Neptune's influence include those who suffer mental confusion, and those who rely too heavily on alcohol or other drugs to calm their fears and insecurities. It is necessary for these individuals to spend periods of time in a quiet, non-threatening environment. They may derive special benefit from being near the ocean. They often use pet names or aliases for themselves or their friends. Negative factors in their personality or background can cause them to develop fear of water, or fears that prevent them from going very far outside their own neighborhood.

NEPTUNE sextile PLUTO

Neptune sextile Pluto is an aspect of extremely long duration. The current sextile between these two planets has been affecting generations for the last forty years. This long term Neptune aspect influences on society represents constant opportunities to change the course of existing structures and pave the way for new ones. Those who will live under the influence of the other aspects (i. e. , conjunction, square, trine, and opposition) as they occur between these planets in the future will have to deal with the ideologies and other societal institutions that we have had the opportunities to create.

HOUSE 4

The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning as well as the end of various cycles in your life.

SAGITTARIUS on 4th HOUSE

Sagittarius ruling the fourth house indicates individuals likely to be raised in environments that emphasize religion, education, or cultural pursuits. The negative potential of Sagittarius ruling the fourth house can mean either total deprivation of, or overemphasis in one of the areas described above. They may, for example, suffer from having experienced too much concentration on material wealth or social status and not enough attention paid to developing personal character and relationships. It can mean too much religious emphasis at the expense of educational, cultural pursuits, or even physical joys. In the matter of discipline there is hardly room for middle ground, either these individuals receive little or no discipline, or, there is too much of it. On the positive side, this influence suggests individuals whose intellects, talents and skills were encouraged throughout their childhood and development. There is potential that they were born or reside in a foreign country, their parents are of foreign birth, or more than one language is spoken in their home.

SATURN in 4th HOUSE

Saturn in the fourth house can mean those who are deprived of a parent early in life. It also suggests austerity and strictness that may apply to the personality of one or both parents, to the emotional content of their home, or to physical aspects of their surroundings. Whatever their actual childhood circumstance or family history may be, these individuals harbor great concerns about it. As adults they may be strict and inflexible in their own domestic environment, or be so negative as to dismiss any notion of establishing a home or family. Saturn's positive influence includes those who enjoy very stable family relationships. It also indicates those who live their entire life in the same house or hometown. The negative potential includes those who are homebound, unable through illness or disease to leave their residence. How these individuals learn to handle any hardships related to home and family is an important key to their happiness and success.

HOUSE 5

The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers, capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children, and speculative ventures.

CAPRICORN on 5th HOUSE

Capricorn ruling the fifth house indicates individuals who may experience heavy responsibilities connected with children. Depending on other factors in their individual personalities, they may take a naturally responsible attitude toward children, placing them first in all things. Some may not care to accept parental responsibilities but will be forced to confront them, due to death or separation from their spouses or some other circumstance. Capricorn does not mean lack of offspring, though it implies they may be few in number. It also indicates that relationships with young children tend to be formal or somber. However, as the children mature, relationships with them are apt to become more satisfying. Romantic encounters are seldom purely pleasurable since inhibitory elements are sure to enter the picture. They may have a tendency to become romantically involved with older individuals. Since romance is what leads to marriage, these individuals may have difficulty finding a suitable marriage partner. Self-indulgence or hedonistic pursuits are penalized. Though success is not denied, speculative ventures must be approached cautiously. Good luck must never be taken for granted, and the best philosophy may be "take the money and run. " Creative talent may be too structured or frustrated but there is also potential that it will be developed properly and handled wisely.

HOUSE 6

The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your health, and physical fitness.

AQUARIUS on 6th HOUSE

Aquarius ruling the sixth house indicates those with the need for working environments that allow maximum independence. The ideal situation is to work for themselves, but if that isn't possible, the next best thing are jobs that let them select their own schedule, and work unsupervised at their own pace. It can be difficult to sit still for long periods or be saddled with repetitive, uninteresting assignments. If they have worked for a while and the challenge the work initially presented is no longer present, they either quit and go on to something else, or find ways of altering tasks to make the job more exciting. There is the likelihood of many job changes. Some changes will be unexpected and abrupt, but they are also just as liable to initiate the changes out of boredom and restlessness. Many of them never work at so-called regular jobs, and many are attracted to very unusual types of work. The influence of Aquarius implies the possibility of erratic health and a tendency for nervous conditions. These individuals may adopt some unorthodox methods of health and physical fitness, or at least very interested in learning about such unorthodox approaches.

HOUSE 7

The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters, negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as well as adversarial.

PISCES on 7th HOUSE

Pisces ruling the seventh house indicates those who may have a hard time being understood by others. Something about these individuals may seem glamorous, illusive or mysterious to others, but their true personalities, physical appearances, or actions are apt to be difficult for others to understand, clearly recognize or accurately describe. They may, for example, be seen as being quite different in appearance by the same people from one time to another, even though they have done nothing to alter their looks. There may be untimely loss of a partner, or marriage to someone less fortunate than themselves. Their marriage partners may be emotionally disturbed, disabled, from a minority group, or addicted to habit-forming substances. On the positive side, their marriage partners may have considerable artistic talent as well as highly developed intuitions. There is possibility for deception as well as unrealistic expectations in marriage, though there is no certainty about which partner will be the one at fault. They may establish highly spiritual or psychically sensitive associations.

They are apt to be quite clever and resourceful, with special talent for decorating, remodeling and renovations of all kinds. Aries influencing the eighth house may be demonstrated by their interest and ability in financial speculations and managing joint finances or corporate funds. If not involved professionally, they may nevertheless avidly pursue interest in one of these fields. Mars in the ninth house also indicates those who are lawyers, judges, or spokespersons, and those who work in direct mail, advertising or broadcasting. Home may be where their heart is, but not necessarily where their many and varied interests take them. They spend more time running around than they do at home. Negative factors in their personality or background can mean those who become frantic in their actions and fanatically zealous about ideas. It also signifies problems related to higher education, unfavorable court decisions, or disagreements with in-laws. The positive influence of Mars suggests individuals with a lively, risk-taking nature that urges them to constantly seek higher levels of understanding, and new adventures and experiences beyond their immediate environment.

MARS square URANUS

Those with Mars square Uranus are bound to have a quirk or two. They veer from the traditional path from time to time, or perhaps make a lifetime project of seeking unusual or alternative life styles. They are willful and independent, and even those who settle down to marriage and regular jobs may grow restless and unhappy if too much confinement or control is imposed.

Even if they don't necessarily seek the spotlight, they want a public forum in which to communicate their thoughts or put their ideas into public practice. They may do this, for example, by writing speeches for others or becoming city planners and engineers. They enjoy carrying on mental pursuits in some public place, or in a public manner, like chess matches in a park or writing letters to the editors of newspapers. A tenth house Gemini influence is also an indication of those who have more than one career, or that there is something of a dual-natured quality connected with what they do. The negative potential includes individuals who have difficulty communicating with their father and other authority figures, or difficulty expressing themselves in public.

HOUSE 11

The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong, and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business associate. The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations and capacity for happiness.

CANCER on 11th HOUSE

Cancer ruling the eleventh house indicates the likelihood of individuals who develop strong emotional identifications with friends and associates. Whether they attract a lot of friends or even go out of their way to retain friendships is not the point here. In spite of the emotional identification, their friendships are not necessarily long-lived unless other factors in their personality support the willingness to accept responsibilities connected with maintaining relationships. They may have one friend or hundreds, but their emotional identification with them plays a major role in how they perceive themselves. There is a strong nurturing element associated with friends which can sometimes be a wonderful inspiration, and at other times cause jealousy and possessiveness to creep into relationships. The aspirations they develop throughout life can be so changeable it is difficult for them to establish definite commitments and long-range goals. Those who do successfully accomplish their goals often do so with the strong assistance or guidance from friends.

VENUS in 11th HOUSE

Venus in the eleventh house indicates socially oriented individuals skilled at networking and attracting a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. VENUS square JUPITER

Venus square Jupiter indicates those likely to spend half their time overindulging and the other half paying for it. Their tendency to go overboard can also be the reverse and they are miserly. In many cases it amounts to poor sense of timing; that is, they are overly extravagant in some matters or with people who don't deserve their generosity, and then too selfish or miserly when they should have been generous. The aspect indicates that personal growth is not only possible but probable, which means most of these individuals eventually learn to balance generosity with prudence, lessons that lead to their ultimate success.

VENUS square NEPTUNE

Venus square Neptune implies deception in romance. Infidelity is a big possibility, though it is not certain whether these individuals will be the guilty ones or it is their romantic partners who will be false. They may also be deceived simply by their own unrealistic illusions and expectations concerning romantic partners, and thus doomed to disappointment when such ideals are inevitably shattered. Maturity and a more objective approach helps to overcome the negativity of this aspect and increase the sensitivity and creative talents that are its positive indications.

HOUSE 12

The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow, disappointment, loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry. It also has connection with the job or health of your marriage or business partner.

LEO on 12th HOUSE

Leo ruling the twelfth house indicates individuals whose true egos are not apt to be easily observed by others. In fact, it may be a determined effort on their part to hide any side of their natures that seems selfish or too egotistical. Those who are close to them will know what situations and whom they try to manipulate, but to the outside world, these attitudes and behavior will not be so readily discernible. Things that give them true satisfaction, and indeed may contribute the most to their personal growth, are the private acts they do for those less fortunate than themselves. If they develop interest in the occult, the subconscious or dreams it will only be as a result of their being convinced of the personal power that is to be gained, otherwise such matters are ignored in the belief that they are a waste of time. Those individuals who do gain knowledge of the occult or paranormal subjects are apt to want to demonstrate and apply their knowledge and skills in public. This influence of Leo also suggests that false pride is likely to compel them to hide their private losses and sorrow. The act of revealing what hurts or bothers them can seem just as painful or as much of a loss as whatever it was that caused the unhappiness.

URANUS in 12th HOUSE

Uranus in the twelfth house is an indication of those who may subconsciously fear giving up their personal independence. Though these individuals may have no trouble getting to sleep, their job or other circumstances may require them to sleep at odd hours. These individuals must learn to properly relax, and many of them develop an interest in TM or other methods that help them achieve inner peace and tranquility. The job and health of a marriage partner is vulnerable to sudden or unexpected change. Their spouse may also introduce them to unconventional or unorthodox ideas and methods regarding health and physical fitness. Other potentials of Uranus in the twelfth house include hidden friendships or activities with friends, membership in a secret society, and illegal activities that may or may not represent a subconscious need to rebel against authority.

SUN in 12th HOUSE

Others may never really come to know or fully understand their real desires or personality. However, they can surprise others (as well as themselves) with just how strong or determined they can be when they want something. They are apt to possess keen interest in psychic energies, the occult, dreams, and the subconscious mind. They may also be deeply influenced by superstition or their past. A twelfth house sun is a strong implication of those who prefer exerting their real control or influence in life behind the scenes. Even those whose life style or work involves the public at large may go out of their way to avoid people on a personal level.

SUN square MARS

However, turning the energy of frustrations into constructive action is what gives many of them the necessary drive to accomplish the things that in the end make them highly successful.

SUN sextile JUPITER

Sun sextile Jupiter is an indication of those who rarely have to search for opportunities to meet others who will help them. They just seem to have an uncanny ability to wander into the right situation with the right people at the right time. The opportunities they are given are usually learning situations, chances to expand their intellectual horizons or promote their thoughts and ideas.

SUN trine SATURN

Sun trine Saturn indicates individuals with a certain type of luck. There is no lucky throw of the dice they can count on, it is usually luck they make for themselves. They may not win at horse races, but they will always come out ahead in situations where they have worked hard and for which they have prepared well. Their own actions or other people impressed with their past prudence and hard work provide any additional help they need to get ahead.

SUN conjunct PLUTO

These individuals may be strong self-promoters or, at least promoters of something. No matter how pleasant or easy-going their outer personalities may appear, they have strong wills and very competitive dispositions when they want something. Consciously or subconsciously, there is an underlying ego involvement in everything they do. With this aspect there is always the danger of jealousy, possessiveness, and vengefulness. Many of these individuals pursue their understanding in these things in order to gain the hidden strength and power that comes from such awareness. Other potentials for Pluto's twelfth house influence include those who are involved in secret activities, and those who learn to sublimate their physical desires into mystical experiences. Whether or not they get involved in the occult or subconscious mind, most of these individuals are intensely private. They prefer to exercise their influence behind the scenes, and they may deliberately hide their monetary assets and other resources. They may actively seek a solitary existence. Pluto's influence also indicates those whose marriage partner may work in research and development, the funeral business, or areas that involve secrecy or managing public resources.

MERCURY in 12th HOUSE

Mercury in the twelfth house indicates those who tend to keep many of their ideas and thoughts to themselves. It also implies they are able to think better when they are alone or in quiet environments. They are apt to be interested in studying dreams, the subconscious, and ESP. Their thinking may not be in the least bit faulty but it is often likely to be based as much on instinct or intuition as it is on logic or reasoning. Sometimes this type of thinking works, and sometimes they need to get a clearer sense of reality. If there are negative factors in their personality or background, it can mean depression and becoming a prisoner of their own mind. Mercury's positive potential includes a photographic memory, fabulous imagination, remarkable investigative skills, and the ability to become a master of disguise. Their work may involve something normally hidden or out of sight to others. It may also involve writing, computers, and communications, especially in areas related to hospitals, prisons, or charitable institutions. Mercury's influence in the twelfth house also includes secret activities or dealing with secret communications, ciphers or other forms of code.

MERCURY sextile NEPTUNE

Intellectual growth is often the motivation for individuals with Mercury sextile Neptune to also attain spiritual and psychological growth. Many of them possess precognitive abilities that can be developed into remarkable powers. Learning to help themselves is often the way in which they end up helping others. Their jobs are apt to involve working with those who are handicapped, underprivileged, or institutionalized.

MERCURY conjunct PLUTO

Mercury conjunct Pluto indicates those who tend to enjoy endlessly analyzing ideas, relationships, and situations; wanting to get to the basic structure of things. Sometimes this is done to afford a better sense of themselves in relationship to others, and sometimes it is done as a means of gaining power over others. Once their attention is engaged, it is totally focused, which is why many of these individuals are excellent researchers and investigators.
