Synastry Chart

Part One -- Planets and Aspects
Each of us has every planet in his or her chart. Each planet symbolizes a different facet of life. In synastry, when we compare two charts, we look at the aspects (distance in degrees) between the planets of one chart and the planets of the other to determine areas of potential ease or difficulty. In general, sextiles and trines are easy aspects; squares and oppositions are challenging or dynamic aspects. Conjunctions can be either easy or difficult, depending on the planets involved.

Below, a brief (necessarily incomplete) description of the areas of life ruled by each of the planets: SUN: The life force, the ego center, who you are at your core. MOON: Feelings, home, mother, family, sensitivity, nurturing, moods. MERCURY: Communication, schooling, short trips, negotiations, the mind. VENUS: Emotions, asthetic and artistic sense, what you have to offer a lover or partner if you're a woman; what you want in a partner if you're a man. MARS: Aggression, desires, competitiveness, ego drive, conflict, what you bring to a relationship if you're a man; what you want if you're a woman. JUPITER: Expansion, generosity, travel, optimism, knowledge, beliefs. SATURN: Restrictions, discipline, fear, burdens, status, ambition, authority. URANUS: Innovativeness, quirkiness, rebelliousness. NEPTUNE: Dreams, illusions, drugs, deception, spirituality. PLUTO: Death and regeneration, elimination, tumultuous change, power.

Common Aspects

Sun square Mercury

There is potential here for clashing due to a basic incompatibility between the Sun person's ego and need for self-assertion and the ideas and communications of the Mercury person. The Sun person may occasionally see what the Mercury person says or writes as something of a threat or challenge. However, this is unlikely to be a really problematic aspect unless there are several other, stronger negative factors in the chart comparison. If so, this square will aggravate them.

Uranus conjunct Uranus
Everyone born within a couple of years of you will have Uranus conjunct your Uranus, so this aspect has little significance in a personal comparison. It indicates generational similarities relating to expression of individualism.

Neptune conjunct Neptune
Everyone born within a few years of each other has this aspect, making it more an indicator of generational relationships rather than personal relationships. It indicates a tendency to idealize the same institutions as others in your generation . People born into the generation when Neptune was in Libra, for instance, were likely to share the tendency to over-idealize marital relationships, or possibly use relationships as an escape, and are also likely to share similar feelings of disappointment and disillusionment when relationships offered less than perfect bliss. People born under Neptune in Capricorn may over idealize and escape into careers, traditions, etc.

Pluto conjunct Pluto
As Pluto remains in one sign anywhere from 12 to 31 years, all those born within several years of each other have this aspect between their charts.

This conjunction therefore has generational rather than personal relationship significance. It shows obsessions, compulsions and intense drives; transformative, death/rebirth and purging issues confronted in some way by an entire generation. The generation with Pluto in Leo, for instance, is the first in modern times to deal as a whole, and with great intensity, with the purging (Pluto) from within of the fetus (Leo rules children). The generation is also dealing intensely with other Pluto/Leo combinations, such as pornography -- sex (Pluto) as entertainment (Leo).

Hilary Rodham Clinton's Planets Aspecting Bill Clinton's Planets

Sun conjunct Jupiter

You are likely to belong to a mutual admiration society, seeing the best in each other -- and tolerating the worst , when necessary, in good humor. This tends to make for an excellent combination and to promote a harmonious relationship. The Jupiter person is likely to show great generosity toward the Sun person and allow for much freedom of expression. The Sun person, in turn, tends to protect and support Jupiter person.

Sun square Saturn
This tends to be a difficult and frustrating combination. Each of you may feel like there is a wall between you that somehow, limits your ability to really get in touch with each other . The Sun person may feel restricted or burdened by the relationship with the Saturn person, even though he or she may very much want the relationship to continue and to work out. The Saturn person may feel his or her security or authority is threatened by the Sun person or the circumstances surrounding the relationship. These difficulties are not insurmountable, by any means, but they are sobering. If the relationship flourishes in spite of the problems, it can be both solid and enduring.

Moon opposite Mars
This comparative aspect often indicates a highly emotional but stormy relationship. You are likely to arouse intense feelings in each other, and you can expect an ample number of blow-ups and disagreements. The Mars person can often hurt the Moon person through thoughtlessness and insensitivity and the Moon person can drive the Mars person to distraction through moodiness. All that being said, this is still one of the aspects most often seen between long-term romantic and marital partners. The secret to your success as a couple may be in all that time you spend kissing and making up.

Moon trine Saturn
This is a good comparative aspect to have in any chart between two people who hope for a long-term relationship as it shows emotional stability and security in the pairing. This is likely to be a serious relationship where each of you feels responsibility and loyalty toward the other. It tends to add practicality to any relationship and makes it easier to accept the obligations of commitment.

Moon square Uranus
This is likely to be somewhat uncomfortable emotionally, although it may be quite exciting. You may suddenly have become attracted to one another because of some fascinating difference between you, which may also cause you to to suddenly call it quits, if there aren't other strong positive aspects that lend stability. There is a strong potential here for emotional impulsiveness and perhaps even explosiveness. Rash emotional behavior is not uncommon with this square.

Moon opposite Neptune
Because Neptune spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few years of each other will have Neptune in more or less the same position. This opposition is therefore more significant as an indication of the Moon person's response to an entire generation than as a trait in a one-to-one personal relationship. If the aspect is within a degree or so of exact, there may be emotional victimization , deception or a tendency for one or the other to play the martyr role. This and similar aspects are often present in co-dependent type relationships.

Moon opposite Ascendant
This should not so much be considered an opposition as a conjunction of the Moon placement with the Ascendant person's seventh house cusp, the house of partnership, which is also known as the Descendant. This aspect is frequently found in marital and other serious relationships. While there can be plenty of stormy moments in this relationship, both of you tend to be able to relate to the other's feelings almost as if they were your own. This empathy can help you work through almost any difficulties you have with each other. This is a particularly favorable aspect for people living under the same roof.

Venus square Pluto
Because Pluto spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few years of each other will have Pluto in more or less the same position. This square is therefore more significant as an indication of the Venus person's response to an entire generation than as indication of one-to-one relationship traits. If the square is within a degree or two or exact, it can indicate a very passionate, intense relationship that may go through much turmoil and many break-ups. The up side of this is that it will also have the potential to be rebuilt stronger and better each time, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. There's potential here for manipulation, scheming, secretiveness, jealousy and the desire to 'get even' with each other. Which all adds up to mean that the people involved in this relationship need maturity both to control occasional negative impulses, and to handle the intensity.

Mars conjunct Pluto
Because Pluto spends so much time in each sign, and everyone born within a few years of each other will have the planet in more or less the same position, this conjunction is more significant as a generational rather than personal relationship indicator . If the aspect is close -- within a degree or two -- there can be significant power tripping, competition and attempts to control one another. More than likely, it will be the Pluto person trying to exercise control while the Mars person fights the attempt tooth and nail. There is potential for great passion in a sexual relationship with this combination, but also a slight danger that one or the other will use sex as a weapon . The Pluto person may be put off by the Mars person's lack of finesse; the Mars person may consider the Pluto person underhanded.

Jupiter trine Saturn
With this comparative aspect, you can offer each other balance and get a great deal done together. The Jupiter person lifts the Saturn person's spirits and provides opportunities for adventure and growth . The Saturn person can help the Jupiter person find useful channels and practical applications for expansiveness and optimism. Together, you can optimistically plan, expand your opportunities, and carefully lay the groundwork that results in greater rewards than either of you might be able to achieve separately.

Saturn sextile Uranus
Each of you can support each other and provide what the other lacks. Unlike some other aspects between such different energies, the sextile makes it easy for you to recognize the value of your differences as well as your similarities. The Saturn person can help the Uranus person develop discipline and organizational ability so that his or her inspiration and inventiveness can find a practical application or outlet; the Uranus person can help the Saturn person discover it's okay to step outside the lines and experience an adventure or two.

Uranus conjunct North Node
With this aspect, the two of you are likely to flout social convention and go your own eccentric way together. Otherwise, this is not a particularly potent influence in the comparative chart.

Neptune sextile Pluto
This is a generational aspect, of little significance in one-to-one relationships. Members of each of your generations are likely to hold some compatible attitudes regarding issues of psychology, the occult, and the world beyond the senses in general.

Neptune conjunct Ascendant
Is it real or is it. . ? With this conjunction, there is likely to be a strong fascination between you, but it may be based more on what each of you wants to see in the other, than what is actually there. You may, in fact, have found your dream lovers in each other. Then again, you may wake up one day and find that what you have isn't anything close to what you thought you had. This is not to say that the feelings of romance and allure you experience are necessarily based on fantasy, just that you should try to look at each other with a cold clinical eye occasionally and check the synastry chart to be certain other positive aspects are present before you go off and buy matching wedding bands. There is the potential, in a close conjunction (within a degree or two) of intuitive communication between you. .

Ascendant conjunct North Node
You are both likely to approach the outside world in a similar fashion and to enjoy socializing together. The Ascendant person's path may be difficult at times for the North Node person to follow, but if he/she does so, it will probably be rewarding in the long run. There is a likelihood of dependency on each other for social activities.

Bill Clinton's Planets Aspecting Hilary Rodham Clinton's Planets

Sun square Jupiter

You are likely to be generous to each other and to give each other the benefit of the doubt whenever possible. However, you may also give each other too much rope and encourage each other to excesses and over-optimism. While not an indication of great practicality, this drawback is more than compensated for by the geniality this square produces.

Sun conjunct Saturn
While this isn't the easiest aspect to have in a relationship chart, it is one of those aspects that can add to the durability, and sense of responsibility, in any partnership. There is a likelihood that the relationship may be limited or restricted in some way. Perhaps there is a great age difference, or one of the partners may have outside responsibilities that limit his or her ability to abandon him or herself to the pleasures of this pairing. But both partners will tend to take this relationship seriously, whatever its limitations. The Saturn person may be a wet blanket occasionally but can help the Sun person be more practical and disciplined. The Sun person can bolster the Saturn person's self-esteem.

Sun sextile Uranus
You tend to bring out the adventurous side in each other. Because of this, you're likely to take greater risks together than either of you might take alone. While there are, of course, caveats to observe, the cooperation and support you offer each other tends to help you get away with more of the gambles you take together than you might otherwise. You may also be sexually adventurous together.

Sun opposite Midheaven
This aspect shows both positive and difficult potentials. The problems arise because the Sun person's ego and/or emotional needs tend to clash at times with the Midheaven person's career needs. But if the two of you can learn to balance these differences, you can potentially make a comfortable home together and the careers of one and/or the other can positively affect the lives of both.

Moon opposite Mercury
This comparative aspect can sometimes cause difficulties due to a clash of the Moon person's emotional and the Mercury person's intellectual responses to situations. There can be more than the usual miscommunication, misunderstanding and misinterpretation between you. However, there is a possibility, if you both work at it, that you will each be able to broaden your perspective if you make a conscious attempt to experience things according the other's frame of reference, rather than automatically dismissing the other's point of view.

Moon oppositie Venus
This is likely to be an emotionally charged relationship, with the likelihood of romantic and/or sexual magnetism, and is a typical example of opposites attracting. There is the potential for oversensitivity and/or misunderstanding as you may each approach emotional situtations from opposite perspectives. You can, at different times, complement each other or clash; provide each other with the missing half of the puzzle or disagree strongly about what the whole should be. For the most part though, this opposition is more likely to bring a pleasant spark to your relationship rather than genuine friction.

Moon square Mars
This can be a real ouch, emotionally. There is likely to be a great deal of volatility in this relationship and, when emotions flare (as they most definitely will) one of you -- often the Mars person -- may lash out without regard for the emotional pain you may cause the other. There is a tendency to have many disagreements, which you may be incapable of settling rationally and which can often become tearful or angry scenes. The Mars person is likely to feel defensive during clashes, while the Moon person feels wounded. The best way to handle these situations is to learn not to take everything the other says so personally, even if it seems as if there's not other way to take it, but to try to see where the other is coming from. Most important -- be kind in what you say to, and how you act toward, each other. Disagreements should never be cause for, or include, personal attacks and insults.

Moon square Saturn
There is likely to be some restriction of emotional expression in this relationship, and probably some real emotional frustration. You may feel like there is an obstruction to your getting truly emotionally intimate with one another. Your timing may be off or there may be other situational factors that simply get in the way. Often this square indicates a relationship where there is a considerable feeling of emotional or family responsibility and obligation, but too little joy from the pairing. You may also bring out each other's fears and pessimism.

Moon square Pluto
Because Pluto spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few years of each other will have Pluto in more or less the same position. This square is therefore more significant as an indication of the Moon person's response to an entire generation than as an indicator of one-to-one relationship traits. If the aspect is within a couple of degrees of exact, there can be emotional power trips, manipulation and attempts to control each other. Most often these will be initiated by the Pluto person.

Moon conjunct North Node
This conjunction often indicates a compatibility between your emotional make-up and values. Both partners tend to provide support in the other's need to follow his or her life direction.

Mercury conjunct Mars
This can be a dynamic combination, with both positive and negative potentials. These potentials range from the ability to work together in a carefully thought out plan of action, to a tendency toward lashing out at each other with ill-considered, rash words. Much will depend on which sign this conjunction occurs in and other chart factors. In Capricorn or Taurus, the positive side of the aspect is more likely to come through; in Aries, Leo, Virgo or Gemini, you may be prone to speaking first and regretting your words later. The Mars person is likely to be strongly affected by the Mercury person's words, which he or she may take as a challenge -again in either a positive or negative way, depending on other factors. The Mercury person can be challenged to put ideas into action by the Mars person.

Mercury sextile Neptune
Because Neptune spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few years of each other will have Neptune in more or less the same position. This sextile is therefore more significant as an indicator of the Mercury person's response to an entire generation than as a trait in a one-to-one relationship. If the aspect is within a degree of exact, it can mean that you share compatible views on idealistic and spiritual issues. There is also the potential for an intuitive link between you, especially if this is supported by other aspects between your charts.

Mercury conjunct Pluto
As Pluto takes many years to move through a sign, aspects to it from another's planets are not particularly significant from a relationship perspective. These aspects tend mostly to show how a a person relates to an entire generation with Pluto in this position (including yourself if you're a member of this generation). If the conjunction is close (within a degree or so of exact) there can be scheming by each partner against the other , or a tendency to manipulate, or misrepresent facts in order to gain control over the other.

Venus sextile Mars
This combination often produces both friendship and physical attraction.

Cooperation and harmony are likely between the dynamic Mars energy and the diplomatic Venus energy. While not as fiery and intense as a Mars/Venus square, this aspect is considerably easier to handle. It's a good indication that you can enjoy each other in a variety of ways, without going totally bonkers over emotional upsets -- or going through a full scale soap opera on the occasions when your desires clash.

Venus conjunct Neptune
This conjunction is more significant as a generational rather than a personal relationship indicator. Neptune spends about 14-15 years, on average, in each sign, so virtually everyone born within a few years of the Neptune person will have Neptune in conjunction with the Venus person's Venus. The conjunction may be significant only if it is within a degree or so of exact, in which case, this can be a highly spiritual relationship, with potential for intuitive communication between the partners. There is also likely to be shared taste in music and art.

Venus sextile Pluto
Because Pluto spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few years of each other will have Pluto in more or less the same position. This sextile is therefore more significant as an indicator of the Venus person's response to an entire generation than as a trait in a one-to-one relationship. If the aspect is within a degree or so of exact, it intensifies emotions and desires. There may be a powerful magnetic attraction between you with feelings of fatedness and possessiveness. There is more than meets the eye between you, if this is a close aspect.

Mars conjunct Neptune
Because Neptune spends so much time in each sign, and everyone born within a few years of each other will have the planet in more or less the same position, this conjunction is more significant as a generational rather than personal relationship indicator . If the aspect is close -- within a degree or two -- there can be much confusion and misunderstanding because Mars and Neptune operate in such incompatible ways. The Neptune person may feel wounded by the Mars person's rashness and insensitivity. The Mars person may either be fascinated by the Neptune person's imagination and sensitivity or else annoyed by his/her wishy-washiness and lack of clear direction.

Jupiter sextile Saturn
This sextile tends to produce relationships based on seriousness and high principles. You can support each other in achieving your individual and joint goals, especially those concerning business, education and ideals. The Jupiter person can help the Saturn person be more adventurous and open minded; the Saturn person can help the Jupiter person to focus, become more disciplined and get more accomplished.

Jupiter trine Uranus
This aspect is likely to produce exciting relationships in which you share pleasant adventures that expand your intellectual and cultural horizons. You may share compatible ideals for improving society or just your own little piece of the world. You should give each other lots of freedom to get the most benefit from this relationship.

Uranus conjunct Ascendant
Stimulating, yes, but this aspect is not indicative of a particularly stable relationship. The Uranus person is likely to be a shock to the Ascendant person's system, which can sometimes be exhilarating and sometimes exasperating. At least it will never bore you. Both of you are likely to bring out the need and desire in the other for excitement, freedom and expression of individuality . While relationships with this aspect can be lots of fun, you should probably wait a good long while -- and make certain you have something solid beneath all that excitement -- before making permanent commitments to each other.

Pluto opposite Midheaven
There can be quite a bit of psychological upheaval in this relationship, with much of the drama played out on the domestic scene. An intense emotional and family situation is likely, especially if the aspect is close to exact . Pluto here can have either a constructive or destructive effect on the careers of both partners, but especially on the Midheaven person. The two of you may also find yourselves in a subtle struggle for control on the domestic front.

Part Two -- Planets in Houses
This section is concerned with where the planets of one partner fall in the houses of the other, also known as comparative house placement. For instance, if you have 12 degrees Cancer rising (also known as Cancer Ascendant or Cancer on the first house cusp) and your partner has Moon in 15 degrees Cancer, your partner's Moon falls in your first house. Your experience of your partner's emotions, family and moods (Moon) will influence how you see yourself (Ascendant). In comparative house placement analysis, the planets generally have a greater impact on the houses than the houses do on the planets. In other words, where your partner's planets fall in your houses is a better indication of how you experience him or her than vice-versa. And where your planets fall in his or her houses will tell more about how he or she experiences you.

Bill Clinton's Planets in Hilary Rodham Clinton's Houses

HOUSE ONE

This is the house of self expression. The sign on the cusp of this house is called your rising sign or Ascendant. It shows your self image, the face you show the world and how others see you. The image you present can either be quite close to or very different from the inner you, depending on whether your Ascendant is in a sign that is similar or different in characteristics to the signs your Sun and Moon are in. When the planets of your partner or another fall into this, your most personal house, you will relate to the energies of that person, represented by those planets, in a very personal and immediate way; there may be a kind of instant recognition between you in these areas. For instance, if the Mercury of another person (which rules communications, short trips, thoughts, worries, and work, among other issues) falls into your first house, you may find that you instantly recognize, and/or identify with, the ways that person communicates or the ideas he or she has.

Uranus in House 1
The Uranus person can be a shock to the system for the first house person. This is likely to be an exciting relationship that shakes up the first house person's self-image and actions. The Uranus person can help the first house person explore issues of personal freedom and break away from old patterns of behavior.

HOUSE THREE
The third house is involved in communication, basic schooling and training, siblings, neighborhood, community activities and extended family. When another person's planets fall in your third house, the energies symbolized by those planets will have an impact on the issues of the house. For instance, if a friend's Venus (the planet of romance, relationship, emotion, art, luxury, among other things) falls in your third house, your emotional response toward this person might be in some way similar to what you would feel toward a sibling, or you might communicate emotionally with one another.

Mercury in House 3
As the third house is the natural home of Mercury, this comparative placement generally makes the two of you intellectually compatible. You are likely to communicate with each other easily and often, possibly to excess, if other factors support this. If there are any major harsh aspects between Mercury and the third house person's planets, your conversations may be tinged with sarcasm, criticism and teasing.

Saturn in House 3
The Saturn person is likely to influence the third house person to think more clearly, concretely and perhaps more pessimistically, and to consider words carefully before speaking or writing. The Saturn person can help the third house person make the most of negotiations, business travel and communications in general. Occasionally this placement indicates that the Saturn person has a restrictive influence on the third house person's ideas, but only if other chart factors support it.

Pluto in House 3
The Pluto person can have a subtle but powerful effect on the way the third house person thinks and communicates, especially if there are close aspects between Pluto and third house person's personal planets. There is some potential for manipulative use of words and other forms of communication if there are major hard aspects from Pluto to the third house person's chart.

HOUSE FOUR
The fourth house rules the home, real estate, your mother (and your mothering instincts), as well as home, domestic and family situations in general. It is also the house ruling your final resting place. Those whose planets fall in your fourth house will affect you on a deep level, and may arouse your protective and nurturing instincts. If the Sun, Moon, Venus, Jupiter or Ascendant of another falls in your fourth house, you may make good housemates or domestic partners.

Sun in House 4
This is likely to be a relationship centered around family and home-based activities. The Sun person will feel at home with the fourth house person and the fourth house person tends to enjoy nurturing or otherwise caring for the needs of the Sun person. The fourth house person's domestic situation, emotions and family relationships may be powerfully affected by Sun person, for better or worse, depending on other chart factors. Often, this placement is an indication of people who live under the same roof, with the Sun person likely to be the dominant partner.

HOUSE FIVE
Some astrologers refer to the fifth as the party house, and it's an apt description. The fifth house presides over entertainment and fun of all kinds; including romance, gambling, parties, creativity and pleasure in general. It is also the house of children, and may describe certain traits of your first child. When the planets of another fall into your fifth house, the energies of these planets will have an affect on what you do, think and feel about fifth house issues. If someone's Sun falls into your fifth house, for instance, you may be attracted to that person as a romantic partner or as someone to simply go out and have good times with.

Venus in House 5
This placement is favorable for romantic relationships and is a strong indication of sexual attraction. You are likely to enjoy similar forms of entertainment and to be well matched socially. The Venus person may very possibly appeal to the fifth house person as the answer to his or her desires. If you have children together, you will probably spoil them and/or shower them with somewhat extravagant gifts.

Mars in House 5
Generally speaking, this placement is an indication of sexual attraction. The Mars person can stir up the fifth house person's desire for fun, entertainment and general good times. However, the Mars person may encourage the fifth house person to take unwise risks or gambles.

Jupiter in House 5
With this placement, each of you is likely to get genuine joy from the company of the other. You will enjoy similar cultural, artistic and musical entertainment and are likely to expand each other's appreciation of various art forms. The Jupiter person can bring the fifth house person luck when taking calculated risks, unless there are negative major aspects from Jupiter to the fifth house person's chart. There is a slight potential that you will over indulge in pleasurable activities together.

Neptune in House 5
You will probably share a love of similar art, music and entertainment. In fact, in many ways, this relationship may seem like a romantic dream come true, especially for the fifth house person. But it may or may not be what it seems. There is the potential for this to be a strong idealistic romance, but also the potential for disillusionment, deception, unrequited love or loss through this relationship. Which side of the equation will manifest depends on aspects between Neptune and the fifth house person's planets.

HOUSE TWELVE
This is the house of illusion, where things are not quite what they seem. Secrets, ideals, deception and self-deception, dreams, drugs, chronic illness, institutions and intuition are all matters of the twelfth house. Older astrology texts call this the house of self-undoing, but this is probably too negative a reading in most cases. It is true, though, that it is difficult to get a clear picture of what is going on in this house; so the energies of any planets of another person that fall into your twelfth are likely to be harder for you to understand than those falling in other houses. If, for instance, someone's Venus falls in your twelfth, you may find it difficult to see that person's flaws and you may respond to the person as if he or she were your ideal mate, whether or not this is objectively realistic.

Moon in House 12
This comparative house placement has both positive and negative potentials. On the positive side, you are each likely to have a sixth sense about the other's moods, feelings and emotions. However, rational communication about these issues may elude you. You may keep a great deal hidden from each other, either by design or because you have difficulty making yourselves clear to one another. The twelfth house person may misinterpret the Moon person's feelings or may worry needlessly about losing the Moon person's affection. There is a slight danger that one or both of you will indulge in guilt trips, dissembling, martyr-like behavior or downright deception. There is also the potential for emotional disappointment.

Hilary Rodham Clinton's Planets in Bill Clinton's Houses

Sun in House 1
You are likely to feel an immediate identification with each other; more so the closer the Sun is to the Ascendant. The Sun person can strongly influence the self-image and ego expression of the first house person and this may challenge the Ascendant person to be more assertive. Although not, by itself, an indication of sexual attraction, the Sun of one partner in the first house of the other indicates that you two can think and act as one in many circumstances, thus supporting any relationship you form together.

Neptune in House 1
It will be difficult for either of you -- particularly the first house person -- to see clearly who the other is; more so the closer Neptune is to the first house cusp. You will probably tend to have unrealistic expectations of one another . The closer Neptune is to the first house cusp, the more of a drain the Neptune person can be on the first house person's vitality, self-confidence and initiative. However, the first house person may be so smitten by the Neptune person's charm -- again, this is more likely if Neptune is closely conjunct the cusp -- that he or she will put up with a great deal, just for the sake of basking in the glow of this relationship.

HOUSE TWO
This is the house of what you have, both in a tangible and intangible sense. It rules your possessions, your values and what you have to give sexually to your partner. When the planets of another person fall into this house, you are likely to experience the energies symbolized by those planets as having an impact on your sense of self-worth, your possessions, your material security or your personal value system.

Mercury in House 2
This placement is generally favorable for business partners, unless Mercury makes harsh aspects to the second house person's planets. The Mercury person's ideas, thoughts and plans are likely to have an impact - either positively or negatively, depending on aspects and other chart factors - upon the values and/or material resources of the second house person. The Mercury person can help the second house person promote his or her business and financial activities. If Mercury makes hard aspects to the second house person's planets, the Mercury person may come across as being critical of the second house person's way of handling finances and possessions.

Venus in House 2
You are likely to share similar values and to have similar tastes in art, luxury items and valuable material possessions. The second house person's material worth and/or ethical values may benefit from association with the Venus person. There may be too much emphasis on material things in this relationship and/or each of you may encourage the other to unwise or frivolous expenditures.

Jupiter in House 2
The Jupiter person can have a positive effect on the second house person's financial situation and ability to amass material goods, but may also influence second house person to be wasteful or extravagant . HOUSE SIX
The morning after the partying of the fifth house, you've got to get back down to business, and that's what the sixth house is about. When someone else's planets fall into your sixth house, the energies of those planets will affect the way you respond to the above sixth house issues. If, for instance, someone's Saturn is in your sixth house, he or she might be an authority (Saturn rules authority figures) who you consult about health, such as a doctor; or he or she might be your boss at work.

Mars in House 11

Saturn in House 11
The Saturn person can help the eleventh house person to work with discipline and care toward realizing practical goals. The Saturn person can also provide networking opportunities which can further the eleventh house person's ambitions. There is a slight potential that one of you may have entered into this relationship with ulterior motives, but only if other factors, such as major harsh aspects from Saturn to planets in the eleventh house, support this. Hard aspects from Saturn also sometimes indicate that the Saturn person, intentionally or unintentionally, may limit the eleventh house person's interactions with friends and associates.

Pluto in House 11
The Pluto person can help the eleventh house person focus on achieving his or her hopes and wishes, and may also have a transformative effect on those hopes. Generally, this requires close aspects between Pluto and the eleventh house person's personal planets in order for these potentials to be fully activated.
